We are pleased to inform you that on May 7, 2023, NAREA and the National Association of Realtors (NAR) signed the bilateral Cooperation and Membership Agreement in Washington D.C.. Among the attendees at this ceremony was her Excellency Mrs. Floreta LULI FABER, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Washington D.C.
Founded in 1908, NAR is the largest business organization in the U.S. by membership, with over 1.5 million members including its Research Institutes, Societies, and Councils. NAR is involved in all aspects of real estate in the country, both residential and commercial. The REAL ESTATE sector in the US contributes usd on average USD 4.1 trillion, bearing the weight of 16.3% of GDP (data for 2022, NAR). At least 90% of ID transactions are carried out through Intermediaries, with an improved value of up to +30%.
This bilateral agreement represents a golden opportunity for the real estate sector in Albania to benefit from NAR’s long and successful experience both in terms of formative offers for our agents and brokers, but also, and moreover, as a quality brand in attracting foreign investment in this sector in Albania.
Today, NAREA finds itself in the position of a leading actor in the real estate sector in Albania, being the only such organization in the country, and the largest among professional and enterprise organizations, with over 500 members, but also in the role of promoter of business practices based on ethics and legal regulation in force.
Within this strategic partnership and the NAR Academy, NAREA aims to expand its activities not only in Albania, but also in the Western Balkans region. Through the NAR Academy, NAREA brings the best internationally recognized education offering in real estate.
For purposes of this academy and in cooperation with INSTITUTES under the nar, such as the Real Estate Business Institute (REBI) and the Intermediaries Development Center (CRD), NAREA will offer 20 International Professional Titles and Certifications within a framework of over 100 trainings, which will be valid for Irregistible Property Brokers in Albania, and wider in the region, thus giving way to the continuous education of mediators and improving the provision of services in mediation.
At the same time NAREA is extending its field of cooperation not only at the federal level with NAR, but also at the state level through signing agreements with the Orlando Regional Realtors® Association (ORRA) and the Miami Association of Realtors®, through which NAREA will be able to enable B2B platforms and opportunities that will result in the growth of FDIs in Albania.
